Scorecard update

I just got an email saying AJ accepted my "Surreptitious Symphony" for sale. I figure I'll own that search term. It brings my total count up to 195 recordings for sale online. Five to go to hit my goal for the summer.

Little Hoedown

A little hoedown for a very short square dance. 1:30 of barnyard bliss written for banjo, fiddle, and bass. Small towns don't have the budget for a big group.

Technology Tension

A track I did for some underscore music to a technology thriller. Looking for a track to use in your dystopian life as the robot overlords hunt you to extinction? This is the one for you.

Update

Both my "Pizzi Ident" and "Twinkle Ident" were accepted for sale on Audio Jungle, bringing my total online catalogue up to 194. The goal is to hit 200 by the end of the summer. I have 4 more waiting in the queue, and I'm adding one more today - here's hoping.

BTW, new discovery. AJ is now limiting the queue to only 5 pieces in each category. And it's taking a good 2 weeks for approvals. I think I may max out the music queue soon, so I may need to put more time and effort into idents or maybe do some music packs. Either that or just file them for future submission. Oh the trials of being such a prolific artist…..

Mambo to Go

This one took awhile. This is an upbeat, rhythmic mambo with short detours into other latin styles. It uses latin percussion, trumpets, trombones, saxophones, piano, and bass. Fun, happy, driving, and joyous. I'm hoping tt will make you want to dance even if you have two left feet.

Rustic Folk Song

A short, rustic, folk song-like tune I wrote for commercial purposes. I had the appalachians in mind, but it works for any sort of relaxing mountain music your looking for. I suppose the tin whistle I threw in gives it little celtic flavor, but it also includes hammered dulcimer, mandolin, bass, folk percussion, violin, and mallets. I'm submitting it for sale on Audio Jungle. Oh, by the way, AJ just accepted my "Comic Chase" song for sale, bringing my online total up to 192. Really hoping to get to 200 by the end of the summer - it being such a nice round number and all. Reviewing takes a lot longer than it used to - they're either swamped or maybe vacationing.

Rocking Brass Talkover

Another submission, this time in the rock category. Apple recently did an update to Logic that includes some pretty awesome horn articulations, and I've been listening to some old Phil Collins and Tower of Power recordings lately. Here's what came out. I'm submitting both 30 and 60 second versions to audio jungle for commercial use.

Serreptitious Symphony

The working title was "String Quartet in D minor," but it didn't actually end up as a string quartet. It isn't actually a symphony either - I could possibly argue that it's a short sonata allegro. In any case, the final name I came up with is "Serreptitious Symphony," because I figure there is maybe one other person in the world who might be looking for a short bit of sneaking around audio that would use that word to describe it. When they do - I'll own the search term. I Actually recorded about 3 versions of this: one without the major section, and one that's just a loop of the first 16 measures. I also did a version with strings only that I didn't record because my daughter said she liked the variety of the woodwinds better. She has younger ears than I do, so I went with the version she liked.

Arpeggiated Intro Theme

A 60 second theme using arpeggiated synth and bass with drum machine percussion for use as a podcast or broadcast intro, theme, or talker audio. I had technology in mind.

Guitar Podcast Intro

Another short entry for in the branding category for use with podcasts or broadcasts. A little 12 second acoustic guitar theme with soft synth background and light, folk percussion.

A Couple Idents

Here a a few short "Idents" for branding purposes. Quick, short little things to lead in podcasts or broadcasts. "Twinkle Ident" for use in children's broadcasts, and "Pizzi Ident" for - pretty much anything else.

Comic Chase

Finally up and running for the summer after a few weeks off for vacation and some home improvement projects. The first song of the summer that came out is a little tune I am uncreatively naming "Comic Chase". It will be my first official submission of the summer - so here's hoping they think it's worth listing.

Short & Sweet

Here's a quick bit of audio I just submitted for branding purposes for projects related to children. Nothing fancy, but cute & happy. It's already been accepted, and is up for sale on AJ.

Starting back up

I haven't posted to the blog or submitted a song to Audio Jungle since my yearlong recovery from gallbladder surgery. It's time I got back into the swing of things.

I sat down at the synth for a few minutes, and this came out. I'm going with the name "Pentatonic Future" because it's a sort of sci-fi-like take on a short & simple pentatonic melody. I haven't submitted anything for over a year, so we'll see how things go. Gotta start somewhere.

Update: Submission accepted. It's up for sale on Audio Jungle.
